Rental policies
Moving is stressful, our policies are designed to keep things simple, fair, and hassle-free. Normal wear and tear is expected; you're only responsible for totes or dollies that are lost or no longer usable.
Reservation Policy
- Full payment is required to confirm a reservation after availability has been verified.
- Reservations should be made at least 3 days in advance.
- Last-minute reservations may be accepted based on inventory and delivery availability.
- Inventory is limited and reservations are first come, first served.
- Both delivery and pickup addresses must be within our service area.
Cancellation Policy
We understand moving plans can change. Here's how refunds work:
- 7+ days before delivery: 100% refund.
- 3–6 days before delivery: 50% refund.
- Less than 72 hours before delivery: no refund.
- If West Michigan Moving Totes is unable to fulfill a reservation, the customer will receive a 100% refund.
Rescheduling
- One free date change if requested more than 72 hours before delivery.
- Additional date changes may be subject to availability.
Rental Period & Extensions
- Up to 14 days included.
- Additional week: $25, subject to availability.
Delivery Windows
- Monday–Friday: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
- Saturday & Sunday: flexible scheduling.
- Delivery and pickup are included within our service area.
Weather
- Severe weather may require delivery or pickup to be rescheduled for safety.
- If we need to reschedule due to weather, we'll contact you as soon as possible to coordinate a new date.
Tote Condition Policy
All totes are cleaned and sanitized after every rental. Normal wear and tear is expected and will not result in additional charges:
- Minor scratches and scuffs
- Dust and standard moving-related marks
- Tape residue
Replacement Fees
Customers are responsible only for items lost or damaged beyond normal use and no longer serviceable:
- Lost or unusable tote: $20
- Lost or unusable dolly: $40
